Saint Benedict Parish

You are here Home  > Miscellaneous >  Saint Benedict Parish

This ornate church with German-imported stained-glass and details was the scene of a tragedy when it was built in 1918. A construction worker on a scaffolding fell to his death near the altar. Some have seen the worker’s spirit behind the altar’s columns or sitting in the front pews. A janitor reported hearing a kneeler fall again and again as he prepared the church for mass one Sunday.

  1. Before Covid-19 every Sunday I would go to mass there. On my First Holy Communion the picture man got lifted up about an inch so only of you looked closely you could tell but he ran as soon as he was put down and I turned around to tell my friend but froze as I saw what looked like ghostly scaffolding.
