Weald and Downland Open Air Museum

You are here Home  > Historical Buildings >  Weald and Downland Open Air Museum

A medieval village used to occupy this site until the air museum was put here. The shadows of former residents are seen in the halls, and a woman is reported to walk building to building. Poltergeist activity in the hall house is also a very common occurrence.

  1. We went to a Tindalls cottage today had the same experience as a year ago. Thought it was just then but I feel sick and dizzy every time i visit and started to cough when I went on the stairs and on the first floor. Had to leave the building as felt so heavy on chest.

  2. Wife & I went weald & Downland few years ago.
We visited all the houses & cottages.
One House stood out from all the rest which was pendean farmhouse.
When me and my wife went inside there was only us inside the farmhouse.
When we left the farmhouse we took photos of the farmhouse outside.
There was no one inside or outside the farmhouse.
Inside the farmhouse downstairs window on the left hand side a light was going on & off we also saw a figure in the window.we have not been back since.
