The Vennum House was the home of Lurancy Vennum, a teenaged epilectic girl who was said to have been possessed in the incident known as the Watseka Wonder. The story of the late-19th-century possession was related in the 2009 film “The Possessed.” The house may be open for ghost tours by appointment.

    1. Photo of the Vennum House, the actual location of the possession of Lurancy Vennum by the spirit of Mary Roff. This is the basis for the Watseka Wonder story, the only documented case of spiritual possession in the United Stated.

    2. I lived on ash street n house was not necessarily haunted by but seen Brian Richards or Richardson. His death was ruled accidental but believed there was foul play. Never believed in paranormal before this.can’t remember but thinking it was 330 ash street.. Stucko house right by ditch.
