Employees at the Turner & Stevens Mortuary say it is haunted by the spirits of an elderly woman who is chasing a little boy, and a man who is trying to protect him. Doors slam, books fly across the room, and footsteps are heard all over. The woman’s and man’s apparitions have been seen in a mirror’s reflection.

I am a licensed. embalmer in Calif. as well in Ark…When I was working in the Turner & Stevens Mortuary in 1977, I embalmed a women who was murdered by her gardener..She was 8 mos. pregnant at the time..I was very distraught over this for awhile..Two weeks later, I was dispatched to the mortuary at 4:00 a.m. to embalm a body..I was walking down the hall when I saw the woman I
embalmed holding a baby..She didn’t speak, but looked very peaceful & at rest.
I DO NOT believe in ghosts, but I believe God sent that apparition to comfort me..Whatever it was..

  2. My mother use to work here around 2006-2009 as she also worked across the street at the Burger King working two jobs. She would tell me how she would always hear footsteps behind her and a little boys laugh. She told me 2 stories. One was about the elderly women she saw her from a distance and asked if she needed help by the time she looked away and back she was gone.
