It is said that this campus sees a lot of ghostly activity. Ghosts of Cavalrymen and Victorian woman have been spotted, library books have flown off shelves, and jukeboxes play by themselves. The reason for the hauntings is that the art center was once a jail, and the library was once parade grounds where military deserters were hanged. Dorms were built on top of land that was once burial grounds, and the area, during both the Mexican-American War and the Civil War, was very busy.

I have a question regarding your library books. My sister attended TSC back in 1987 or so, and she brought home a book about solders notes. I remember it was about location and tactics of warfare and history wars or battles. I do not recall the Generals, or the people mentioned in the book. I found it amazing because it was dating back to early 1900’s. I figured the book was in great shape for its old age. I glanced at a few pages and read about half a page. I was in 7th grade at that time. My sister returned the book to the library but later tried to retrieve it for quotes and sources for a school project but the librarian told her “that book has been out of circulation for some time because it was lost to a fire several years back.” Are there such things as Ghost Books at UTB?

I walked around at night by the old morgue and Calvary hall. I felt something tugging at my back pack so when I got back to the library all 3 zippers were wide open. Also I have heard whispers on the trail to get across to the TSC side at night. Freaked me out. The whole campus is freaky because the old parts are still there it feels weird.
