    1. Hello,

Our room had 2 beds and I remember lying on the bed in the main room. It was a large bed with white pillow and whit sheets. My wife and I went down for some food in the inn. When we came back, we found a green pillow laid on the white pillows that wasn’t there before. We were a little freaked out.

    2. On a 5 day road trip to Oregon, I stopped for lunch at the Scotia Inn. The town and hotel were beautiful, and that’s an understatement. Something drew me to that place like a magnet, as soon as I stepped foot inside I felt welcome but isolated at the same time. Couldn’t shake the feeling I was being watched. As I left I stood and stared at the historic building in awe, wanting so badly to see the top floor, but borderline terrified at the same time. I’ve since had dreams about this place, and I want to go back.

    3. My husband and I stayed here last year. I had heard it was haunted and wanted to stay there. We had dinner and then a few drinks at the bar with the people who worked there. They told us about the child ghost on the third floor and a lady who likes to hang out in the kitchen. We didn’t think much of it and went to bed. I woke up at three-ish in the morning because I heard what sounded like a crowd of people walking down the hallway. Kind of a murmuring sound, like people talking in hushed voices. I fell back asleep. At five in the morning my husband woke to the sounds of creaking floorboards at the foot of our bed. He thought it sounded like someone pacing back and fourth. I can’t wait to go back.

    4. My husband and I stayed here for a week last year to celebrate our honeymoon because he knows I love haunted places. We sure were in for a treat! Around 3 in the morning I heard scraping noises by my bed. I ignored that and tried to go back to sleep but I couldn’t shake the feeling of someone watching me. I heard something breathing around my face so I looked around and out of the corner of my eye I saw something quickly crawl under my bed. I woke up Bernard (my husband) and had him check all around the room and even in the hall. Our bedroom was right next to the stars leading up to the 3rd floor, so I was a little spooked out from all the stories of Frank. I can’t wait to go back!

    5. I live in Scotia been in the inn many times seen so much weird stuff happen like a chair moving sounds of balls bouncing ive seen “frank” and the small child but this one didn’t have the ball he is normally seen with I hate this town but it is beautiful and I think my house is also haunted I hear my pool table balls getting hit back and fourth even though I’m the only one home

    6. One day my Mom, Sister, and I went and looked around we tried to go to the third floor but it was locked when we turned around there was a little boy standing there laughing then we started back to the main entrance when he kept popping out of places left and right until we got to the pub I haven’t been back since but want to.

I grew up in 1950’s in the house behind the Scotia Inn. The supposed ghost, Frank, was a friend of mine who lived in the Inn and was the janitor at our elementary school. I used to talk to him often and never realized that he was a ghost but you just never know…. 2 of the teachers at the school also lived in the back part of the Inn for a couple of years.

    8. The Scotia Inn is now permanently closed because the previous owners have put the inn up for sale, hoping for a new experienced inn owner can take care of the inn and keep it open.

      • Lucky for us it’s reopened as of yesterday 7/9/21 It’s now named the Scotia Lodge. The new owners have really brought back all the life and charm this building has left, plus added so much more elegance. I personally can not wait to see what the next few years bring for this place and look forward to meeting Frank and any of the other permanent residents.

    9. I used to work here and I’ve been on the third floor, I found pictures of third floor Frank in my home one day and someone told me he once owned my family’s home. I took the pictures to work the owners were amazed! When I applied for the job I had recently lost my dad and something told me I had to work at the Inn! I never had any experiences but I did get some feelings once in awhile like someone was next to me. I sure miss the Inn!

    10. We stayed at the Scotia Lodge (the new name) about 2 weeks ago for one night. When I checked the website before booking, the lobby pictures gave me a Shining/Overlook vibe but I didn’t think to research any ghost stories. And I’m a big Shining fan anyway. Well, we stayed in room 210 and all was normal until late at night. Sometime around midnight I definitely heard a ball bouncing about 7 times, sounded like it was from the hallway right outside. I went back to sleep and didn’t think anything of it until the next day. Meanwhile, later that night my wife heard a small group of people murmuring outside. However, we were one of only 2 or 3 guests in the entire hotel (it was midweek). I was skeptical this hotel was haunted but now I’m sure it is.
