A highwayman named Claude Duval occupied this building and killed the former landlord. In Room 3, guests feel as if they are being watched and beds shake by themselves. Sometimes, heavy footsteps are heard walking down the hall.

Me and my Co. Investigator Les do paranormal investigations in and around the Oxfordshire area and would like to do a paranormal investigation.

  2. If anybody was going to come back as a ghost to spy on women in their hotel rooms, it would be Duval! However, I hate to be nitpicky, but there is no way he killed the landlord. Duval was hanged at Tyburn in 1670. The murder mentioned took place in 1754, and the killer was never caught.

  3. Husband currently staying there, his wardrobe door he heard opened in the middle of last night, he got up and closed it, and then the other opened on its own. Think he feels a bit nervy now! March 2023
