This 1920’s building may be haunted, according to workmen who refurbished the place in the 1990’s. They reported seeing a woman wearing expensive jewellery and an old-fashioned white outfit roaming the grounds and the building over the course of the renovations, who always vanished before they had a chance to speak to her.

My grandfather lived at that home growing up in Brenham, TX. There was a total of 8 children & 2 parents, they were the Moerbe’s.

  2. My grandpa was 18 years old when he lived there in 1938. He was a caddy. There was a 8 course golf course plus a swimming pool and 2 lakes to fish at. I can also recall a red barn being there, however I am 47 years old, so don’t know how long it had been there. He had 3 brothers , 4 sisters, Moerbe was their last name. My Meorbe family lived on the 3rd floor, the 2nd floor was a bar/dance hall. The first floor in the parking area was for golf carts and horse carriages. If you need any further infornation please contact me @ casie_pierce34@yahoo.com. Oh, the movie theater was very close by but had been closed down for a long time.

  3. Please contact me, am the granddaughter of Warren F. Moerbe, he lived there in the 1930’s as a caddy. Thank you. 832-628-7929. Casie Pierce
