Sunrise Park has many different spirits and hauntings; first, the black dog with a human face, speculated to be a demon by those who have seen it, and next, a murderer from the 1800’s who murdered children and scattered their bones around the park; his spirit is still rumored to continue doing just that. Finally, before the homes around Sunrise were built, the Ku Klux Klan burned Black people and Black sympathizers in the area of Sunrise Park.

my school took a field trip there once around halloween and my teacher told us these rumors and we didn’t believe it so we all just walked around and once we started walking there was fog that started up and we heard like someone walking by the trees by the park then we started to head back to the van we took there and this black object started running towards us and it looked like a dog my teacher literally peed her pants and we all ran back to the vans as fast as possible. scariest night of my life
