Stone Arch Bridge

In 1892 George Markert was murdered upon this bridge by Adam & Joseph Heidt, for Adam believed the George was a warlock who had placed a hex upon him. This hex could be activated any time George did something 3 times, so it seems a little too ironic that this was done over this beautiful three arched bridge in Kenoza Lake, NY. This was a vicious and gruesome murder for George was beaten by the Heidts, shot numerous times, and then finally thrown into the frozen waters below. Truly an unnecessary way to die. It is said that George Markert’s ghost still haunts this location even to this day.
