Dating back to 1867, the historic mansion is haunted by the wife of the original owner. Known as ‘Laura’, the spirit often appears to children, and is regarded as a motherly presence.

  1. I worked upstairs at the Slocum house for 5 years. There’s a man who is there and he is quiet and keeps to himself. There’s also a woman who is very active and runs a bit on the hostile side. I’m certain there’s some children who inhabit the basement and play in all the props that were down there from the Slocum house theater players. Very active place, almost a daily thing.
