My husband and I ate there in 2014. We were the only guests there. I went to the restroom when we were finished eating. I walked down the hall to the bathroom, and along the wall there were a lot of old pictures. I got goosebumps and my hair stood on end. When I got into the bathroom stall I felt that I wasn’t alone in the restroom. Once I left the bathroom I walked very quickly to our table. I told my husband what happened and all he did was laugh at me.
I did ask the waitress if the building was haunted and she said it was.

I was there walking around the area there was locked doors with claw marks there was a figure in the deck talking there was voices comming from the under porch inlooked and nobody was there it was wierd

  2. Sam’s used to be called The Red Brick Inn. It was operation for decades. The history of the building goes to The Underground Railroad. I have always heard it was haunted. Many add on areas were done over the years, like enclosing the front porch for dining. The original Inn, is in there, somewhere?

    • Jill, I believe you are correct. I too grew up in the area. (Allegan, barry county) I heard growing up that the underground tunnels connected miles of tunnels. I beleive it goes underground all the way to downtown allegan. I know the tunnels are also under pizza hut downtown allegan, and saint Mary’s church I think it was called. Absolutely insane to think how far the tunnels go. That’s well over like 12 miles just from Sam’s joint to pizza hut downtown allegan.

As a kid I lived behind Sam’s (Red Brick Inn) and late at night on the weekends we would walk around the trailer park and hear noises and there would lights on but yet no cars would be there and all the doors were locked. it always gave me the creeps.
