Safari Mark's Bar and Bistro

You are here Home  > Restaurants and Bars >  Safari Mark's Bar and Bistro

Dating back to 1904, the historic ‘Bradford Hotel’ is now a bar and bistro called ‘Safari Mark’s’. The place is said to be haunted by the ghost of Andrew Eaton (otherwise known as Indian Slim), a local character who had a reputation as a gambler and a champion horse rider. Since his death in the 1970’s, local folk have reportedly encountered his apparition throughout the building. The spook is also supposed to have quite the temper, as paintings have been pulled off the walls on occasions by unseen hands.

    1. There are always things happening at Safari Mark’s. People feel someone rubbing there back and no one is there. There is a brunette lady in the bathroom all the time and always disappears. Several people have witnessed the sound of furniture moving. Milk jugs do 360 turns. There is also a little girl spirit about 8 years old.

    2. As a child my mom worked in Mrs Burdens Candy factory. In the lower level of the building. We were there a lot and we would go exploring upstairs in the old motel. There was always something watching us, I could feel it there. Sometimes we would hear noises coming from other rooms, no one else was there. This was literally every day during summer. I never felt threatened though. Just watched.
