Roslyn Square Apartments, aka Roslyn Court Apartments, circa 1908, is said to be haunted by a tall dark shadow that stomps down hallways. Some say it’s the ghost of the building’s architect, who went mad; hence the strange layout of the apartments.

  1. My sister in law had an apartment there. First time i was there with my husband and he suggested taking their sublet due to her leaving for a backpack trip across Europe. for some reason I said NO way! I could not say why but if felt like I was being watched. The next time I went to visit by myself, it was just the 2 of us in the apartment. Again uneasy feeling the whole time. I went to the washroom and the words Help were on the window in the dirt…top floor no way to access the out side of window without an extremely tall ladder. I should my sis in law and she said that it appeared a few days ago. When I left I was so freaked out in the hallways, I got into the old elevator and started feeling even more frantic…to this day from that point I was so panicked I don’t remember how I got out of the building. I just remember being outside trying to catch my breath. I told my sis in law I would never go to see her in the apartment again, she then told me another of her friends had said the same thing after her first time there. About 1 week later my sister in law called and told me a candle that was on the TV across the room flew across the room towards her and her room mate. Of course I said “I told you so!”
They ended up calling him Harley because they heard a rumor about a possible Hells Angle was killed there.
I have always been quite sensitive to spirits and sometimes I can hear them talk to me.
Many years I am now currently trying to research the history and hauntings of The Roslyn. This building has always been on my thoughts since then. Even after going on Ghost Tours in Winnipeg this is still one of my top experiences. I am hoping to possibly go back one day to see how it feels now.
