Built in 1925, the Ritz Historical Inn was said to have experienced a fire in its early days which killed several guests. Their ghosts apparently still haunt the premises.

The building was handed over in 2010 to Volunteers of America, and plans are underway to convert the building to housing for homeless veterans.

I didn’t know it was supposed to be haunted when I went there but after an entire night of disturbed sleep I found out. That’s when I searched the property to see if it was near a graveyard or something. I’ve never seen any black people in spirit before or since, but that night I was visited by a never ending stream of them. I don’t know if or how they would be connected with the supposed hotel fire in its earlier days. Every time I tried to drift off to sleep I was interrupted like they were waiting for me to let my guard down then they’d show up, then I’d have to pray and tell them to leave me alone. I don’t know what their urgency was other than they were aware that I am sensitive to their presence. They sure were persistent. I was glad once it was daylight when I could check out and go home!

    2. Not experiencing any haunting. I’ve been here over a week, and nothing worth noting. Unless only certain areas are haunted, this place, and anyone stating it’s haunted is debunked.

    3. Its haunted!!! For sure!! I stayed there for an extended amount of time and definitely haunted!!! I dont believe in haunted houses but this one is!

    4. I did experience paranormal activity there when i was younger. I was really young however i believe it was in building C. my moms best friend daughter was having her birthday party there. my mom and i were outside and she told me to stay with her. being young me i didn’t listen. i ran into building C and up the stairs. around the top of the second flight of them i heard laughing and dogs. when i said hello i got no response. i believe i stepped up one more stair when i said hello again and again there was no response. however i was pushed down the stairs… mind you I was the ONLY one in the stair well i ran down the last flight and ran out the door to my mom when i found her i told her what happened. and to this day we never have forgotten it and im 18. p.s ik my spelling and grammar arn’t the best.
