Putnam Lodge Hotel and Spa

You are here Home  > Hotels and Inns >  Putnam Lodge Hotel and Spa

The historic lodge and hotel was frequented by Al Capone, who had his own room on the upper floor equipped with a ladder for a hasty exit if needed. Guests nowadays staying in the vicinity of the room claim to have heard arguing voices, disembodied footsteps and felt an eerie presence.

  1. Visited for a friends surprise party and met owners. A group of us ladies got a private tour from a worker. Last corridor on ground floor we awoke something that gave 3 of the 4 of us chills. We also got a look at the secret area behind the fireplace. Possibly a hiding spot for booze during prohibition. Some guests described hearing a loud noise that sounded as if someone fell down the stairs. The loud noise was caused by the owners enclosed China cabinet collapsing. Putnam Lodge is definitely worth the visit http://putnamlodge.com

  2. Behind lodge, lots of kitties hanging out back here. A black one had made its way to my vehicle as if to say goodbye when I left.
