Peoria High School

You are here Home  > Miscellaneous >  Peoria High School

A ghost has been seen and heard on the school’s catwalk. Rumor claims it is the ghost of a girl who died after falling from the catwalk, but we have not unearthed any corroborative evidence of such a death so far.

  1. It was the catwalk in the old theater which is now used as a classroom. Weird stuff happens in there. Sudden chills, computers turning themselves on, hearing whispers in your ear.

  2. She fell off the catwalks in the theatre building and no the building was never remodeled so its the same catwalks that have been there for decades. There are many versions of how she fell off like she tripped or she was pushed but basically fell somehow and died. Many weird things happen during day but real weird things happen at night! Doors open and close, lights flicker, the faucets in the lobby bathrooms would turn on and off by themselves, she messes with the performances that the theatre does like the sound system has abruptly stopped during Suessical The Musical on opening night spring 2013 and to this day there had been no explainaton of how it stopped since during rehearsals it was working perfectly, lights have been unplugged during a performance even though the catwalks stay locked during a performance and all light technicians stay in the booth which normally is 1 or two light people, and some alumni claim to have even seen her in the dressing room bathrooms! I’ve had some personal experiences but I don’t necessarily believe that someone who died would haunt a place unless something bad happened and she wants to get revenge. Also this she I’m referring to, her name is Rebecca – that’s the ghost’s name and whenever something bad happens, that’s who everyone blames, “Rebecca’s messing with us!” I don’t think she haunts the Performing Arts Center because I don’t believe in ghosts but all I can say is that weird crap happens and its unexplainable….

    • I think the ghost is real to! I was there on opening night when the sound stopped working, and my brother who was in theater would tell me about all the weird things that happened at the theater at night.

    • I am going there it doesn’t feel haunted anywere else I have not been in the theater room but the TV in my class was working itself and the volume changed and channel Weird..

  3. I was a senior there in the 06-07 school year
It was the wierd happenings in that building that intrigued me into becoming a paranormal investigator. I hope to conducted an investigation there sometime and hopefully put Rebbeca to peace.
