Peck House Hotel

You are here Home  > Historical Buildings >  Peck House Hotel

This former house hotel is now a private residence, so please respect the owners privacy. Hidden deep in the mountains, this hotel was rumoured to be haunted by at least two ghosts. The first was that of a male owner who was thrown from his carriage and died. His apparition has been seen walking the hallways of the manor house. Other phenomena reported includes coughing sounds from nowhere, cold spots and articles of clothing that move around of their own accord.

  1. To Whom it May Concern:

My name is Melissa Martinez and I am the main researcher/administrative assistant for the paranormal research team DEAD OCTOBER PARANORMAL.

Dead October Paranormal is a team of three family members, who grew up in the Northside of Denver. They are incredibly professional and seek to bring exposure to locations (and towns in general) that have claims of paranormal activity, while they seek answers to life’s biggest questions! Job Martinez is the founder and his twin brother, Jonathan Martinez & cousin Vince Bernal bring a passion and appreciation for history with them as they investigate. They have investigated locations such as Fort Fransisco in La Veta, CO and the Cripple Creek Outlaw Museum (jail), as well as places in other states such as Malvern Manor and Ferrar Elementary in Iowa.

Our research and personal experience (we grew up camping near Empire often) led us to reach out for help in contacting owners/managers to schedule an overnight investigation at the Peck House. Dead October is looking for a new location to investigate whenever possible. Their investigations are always highly promoted and often lead other visitors to enjoy the town once the evidence has been presented on social media forums and via episodes on Dead October’s YouTube channel.

Dead October Paranormal looks forward to hearing from someone and has the highest hopes of working together with the town of Empire to investigate this incredible building! We are open for other location suggestions as well! We just weren’t sure who to contact in regards to getting into the Peck House and appreciate any information/contacts that you may be able to help us with.

Please feel free to email me @mjjmmartinez2018@gmail.com, or reach out to any of the team members and view their work at the following locations:
