Pack House Inn and Restaurant

You are here Home  > Historical Buildings >  Pack House Inn and Restaurant

The nineteenth-century inn and restaurant may have closed down, but the residence is still believed to be haunted by the daughter of the lumber baron who built the original house. Local folk claim that the spirit, known as ‘Grace’, still wanders the halls of the old mansion.

  1. I used to live in oscoda and I went to a haunted house when it was open years ago and I swear something not human touched my leg. And I know the one owner would lock everything up at night to close and glasses would Fly across the room and the jukebox would keep coming on.

  2. Also 2 children a boy and a girl dressed old time clothes and barefoot have been seen on occasion. Gracie has been seen on back porch pouring out the potatoe water . She keeps the upper room how she likes it, no one can change anything, shell put it back. The basement bar couldn’t keep workers due to the music on/off on own and lights on/off on their own.

  3. I drove by the bldg 2 days ago. I turned left onto Pack and cut thru the Family. Video. Lot to take a drive by the dock reserve.
I noticed the attic light was on.
My passenger needed a soda and a rest rm.
So we circled back, approaching the BLDG in the same direction the light was off.
Could have been routine mtx. But I thought it hadn’t been open since the 90’s?
