Orillia Opera House

You are here Home  > Theaters >  Orillia Opera House

The Orillia Opera House is said to be haunted by ghosts who make footsteps, slam doors, create moans and shadows, and drop the room temperature. Investigations have determined that the ghosts are a female who played piano during silent movies, a woman who worked in the ticket office and a patron who had a heart attack during a performance.

    1. I was at the Orillia Opera House for a dance competition and I was sitting on the sketchy stairs that lead up to the lower level of the theatre with my friends. I was looking around at the ripped up wall paper and I swear I heard a faint scream.

    2. Definitely some paranormal activity here, I also felt it when we were here for a dance competition a few years back. I could sense it in the older part of the building as soon as we entered through the old entrance. I felt a coldness in spots and could feel their presence in the old theatre portion where the girls were rehearsing.
