Welcome to The Haunted Mansion VA. We are a seasonal haunted house attraction presented by The Nickerson Snead House Museum in Glade Spring, VA. This haunted house attraction is unique because it is set up in an authentic haunted house. There are over 200 years of spirits haunting the the old Antebellum. So you may encounter a real ghost during your visit at the Nickerson Snead Haunted Mansion.

The Nickerson Snead House Museum’s original structure was a two-room log cabin built in the mid 1700s by Francis Kincannon. Dr. Nickerson Snead purchased the cabin and surrounding land in 1835 and built the sprawling Antebellum mansion that sits there today. After the death of the Sneads the house was purchased by the Mason family. They owned the house from the late 1800s until the 1980s. The house was then purchased by The Waldress’ who converted the house into a bed and breakfast. The house then sold in 2004 to Ricky and Ronda Caudill who currently own it.

The Caudills have converted the house into a museum where numerous events are held such as winter and spring craft festivals, Murder Mystery Dinners, Ladies Victorian High Tea, The Haunted Mansion, and overnight paranormal investigations. There are plans to house Friday the 13th Haunted Weekends and a Steampunk Festival in the near future.
