Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity House

You are here Home  > Miscellaneous >  Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity House

The Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity House is said to be haunted by a little girl named Abigail who died by falling down the stairs here. Legend has it that the words “Help Me” appear on the wall no matter how many times they paint over it. Also said to be haunted is Room 7, where a woman’s apparition has appeared, covers have been pulled off of the bed, doors slam, and “welcome” was spelled out in steam on a bathroom mirror.

  1. I’m a Lambda Chi brother that used to live in the house. There certainly are some strange, unexplained noises that occur, and I’ve heard of people seeing a ghost (though nothing as specific as a little girl named Abigail). As for the Help Me bit? If it re-appears even after being painted over, how come I’ve never seen it? I lived in the house. Also, I had a lot of fun in Room 7. I was good friends with a some of the guys that lives in the room. Never heard tell of anything spooky or unnatural happening in there. I’m talking about a 4-year stretch with no one having any such experience. Is the house haunted? Maybe. But a lot of the stuff mentioned here is just plain not true.
