The oldest continuously operating theme park in the U.S. is rumored to be haunted. Its Starlight Ballroom was once the site of performances by the likes of Tommy Dorsey’s band with a young Frank Sinatra. As one could imagine, there is a lot of history in this park that dates back to 1846. Deaths that occurred here include a 16-year-old girl who fell from a coaster in 1981, a 16-year-old park employee killed working on the Tornado ride in 1999, a 6-year-old boy who drowned on the Lake Plunge waterslide in 2000, a 23-year-old maintenance worker killed working on the Boulder Dash in 2001, and a 5-year-old boy killed in 2004 when a tree branch fell on him. This park was also the site where on July 21, 1989, as Milli Vanilli’s Rob and Fab were performing, their music started skipping, exposing the fact that they were lip-synching and unleashing the public ridicule that followed.
Witnesses who say the park is haunted have described shadowy figures in or near the ballroom, unexplained music and sounds of parties, objects that move by themselves and lights that go on and off on their own.

me and 4 friends were riding bolder dash this summer, about half way through the ride i had seen something crossing over the track really fast as i looked round thinking it was an animal i had seen nothing, when i got off the ride one of my friends asked if i had seen it and described it just the way i had seen it.

I think not.
Are you that desperate for content lake compounce is far from being haunted never mind should have been a list of the top haunted places in a certain state. Everybody that lives here or has lived to hear all their life knows better. I personally can’t stand the park but to each their own it’s just not haunted!
