Kennedy Blvd and Marion St

You are here Home  > Miscellaneous >  Kennedy Blvd and Marion St

Tim Reeser mentions this “haunted intersection” in his book, “Ghost Stories of Tampa Florida”. Apparently Kennedy and Marion was the site of the old “Florida House Hotel”. This hotel burned to the ground in Victorian times, and one of the victims was a little girl who was asleep in the kitchen. Eerily enough, that’s what people claim to hear on this intersection – the disembodied weeping of a little girl.

  1. I heard the crying myself about 15 years ago. I was walking on home on Kennedy Bld near Marion St on NYE before midnight. I heard a distressed girl crying and went looking for her but no one was there. I thought I was crazy but not after reading this so many years later it must have been the ghost. I had NO idea what the explanation was before now.
