Howard Auditorium

You are here Home  > Theaters >  Howard Auditorium

Supposedly this place is haunted by a ghost and you can tell because sometimes the seats, which are spring loaded will be down, as if someone is sitting in it when there is no one there. And this is not at all due to faulty springs or mechanisms. It’s a ghost.

  1. I witnessed it 1st hand years ago! Sitting in the balcony. I was told to sit beside a certain seat, I can’t remember the number now!, and was told to close my eyes and relax. It was almost midnight. Suddenly, I felt something move to my right, I opened my eyes and the seat started lowering! I saw something in the corner of my eye and it looked like people entering the theater. Then seats started lowering all over the theater. Suddenly, a light on the stage blinked 3 times and it sounded like faint foot steps on the stage. I sat frozen watching this all take place! I was told that a lady who either taught there or performed, can’t remember now, is the one who sits in that particular seat in the balcony. It’s in the very center though.
I was not a believer in the paranormal back then. I have been ever sense.
The strangest part about it, was that the auditorium was open to begin with. It was a side door, that I swear was locked when we 1st tried it, was propped open when we went back to try it again.
Spooked me! But man was it awesome!

  2. I’m not saying these stories are fake, but they way they’re being described is a little silly. Howard auditorium is definitely creepy though.
