Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel

Although no famous actor died in the hotel, the place is rife with celebrity “hauntings”. If they are, they are of the residual sort, as many claim to see Marilyn Monroe peering at them from a mirror she once favored when she stayed there, or Carol Lombard seen in the hallway of the floor she frequently occupied.

    1. My mom and I stayed here in 1974. We did not know the hotel was haunted First off all, there was a lamp in our room that would go off and on by itself.
One early evening we were getting ready to go to dinner. I guess I was taking too long, so mom went down to the restaurant. I was drying my hair in the bathroom when I saw a hand/arm pass behind me. I got so freaked, I went downstairs as is, hair wet! We learned years later that the hotel has had numerous paranormal instances when we watched a program about it.

    2. This hotel really is haunted. I’ve been advised not to tap into energies past the 7th floor because up there, you won’t get anymore human entities but actual demons. However, I’ve had experiences on the fourth floor and in the floor above the lobby. The latter went like this, my friend and I were just exploring, goofing around and we opened a door that lead to a staircase but in front of the staircase was a chair (one of the ones with wheels) which turned around by itself and faced us. We turned around, closed the door, and went about our business. Another experience was on the elevator, with my cousin, without us pressing a button, it moved on it’s own to the 8th floor, we freaked out the people on that floor – as they said they hadn’t pressed a button to activate the elevator. We were all freaked out in the elevator going to the lobby. Don’t go in trying to specifically find Marilyn Monroe or Montgomery Cliff as both have reincarnated already, what you’re tapping into (if lucky) is their residual energy.
