  1. I was homeless for a few years, and lived in the park near this location. There is a lot of paranormal activity in this area. I have never seen the police car directly, but I have seen a spotlight shine into the bushes near the buffalo field, then just disappear. You could see the headlights, and the spot. Even hear the motor and squeaky brakes, but it just went away in an instant before the car made it into view.
Even more haunted is the abandoned horse ring area on the west side of the polo field. Even in the day there are places that seem dark. At night there is a bush near the fountain on the north/south walking path that is very spooky. At night as you walk by something charges through the underbrush and stops in the bush, just short of you. It’s always the same short path in the same bush, heavy and aggressive. It stops you in your tracks, and it happens to everyone I know that passes by late night. It’s too big to be a raccoon or even a fox and leaves no prints. Nobody has seen anything, even with bright flashlights and the event is so concistent it feels like a recording. It will happen any cold or misty night after midnight.
These are just two events of many that myself and others have seen, heard, or felt in the area.
