Fox Theatre - North Platte, NE

Built in 1929 by former Nebraska governor Keith Neville, the former Fox Theatre is now the Neville Center for the Performing Arts. Witnesses say that in the balcony lighting booth, a spirit causes sudden temperature drops and sometimes touches their hands.

I walked past the theatre when staying here for a night with my dad, and I knew something was not right. THat's rare for me, usually I am blind when it comes to hauntings, unless previously told. I felt the whole walk from our Motel to the restaurant that there were things around us. I walked back to the theatre myself, just to see if the rumors were true. I saw no orbs or faces in the windows that I could make out, but something whispered. I looked around but the area was completely deserted. I left it saying "Okay I'm leaving" loudly but something wasn't done with me. I quoted the lords prayer on the way home, which either calmed me or kept whatever I pissed off away, I didn't care. I'm not leaving the room again til dawn!

  I used to live in this town. I have been to the theater many times. I have never experienced anything haunting. The Pawnee Hotel across the street is creepier than the Fox Theater in my opinion.
