The Goat Man is an urban legend about a being who escaped from the nearby Department of Agriculture Research Center. Said to be a product of a human-animal breeding experiment, the escaped Goat Man murdered and ate many victims in the 1950s and ’60s. As recently as the 1970s, something half-man and half-animal has been reported in the area woods. Witnesses said he had red eyes and tattered, bloody clothing.

  1. I was driving along this road one night. I used to live near Bowie, but now live in California. I spotted something along the side of the road. It’s lower body was hidden in the leaves, but I could see its head. A goat. Assuming it was a regular goat, I just kept driving. At that time I wasn’t into monsters like I am now, so I didnt know about the goat man. Like four seconds later, I noticed the goat was following me down the road, right behind me. But it wasn’t a goat. It was wearing clothes and looked human! I screamed as loud as I could and slammed on the gas pedal. I have never driven on that road ever since.
