This historic store was built in the 1890’s, and is believed to have two resident spirits. The first is known as ‘Paddy’, a local character with a wooden leg. Staff have heard his disembodied footsteps in the store after hours, and have smelt his tobacco smoke. He has also been known to throw in particular orange objects around the store. The second apparition is a teenage boy, who has been seen by staff towards the rear of the store. He appears to be quite a benign spirit, and doesn’t attempt to communicate with anyone.
