Bridgewater State University is said to be haunted by a former headmaster in Tillinghast (Tilly) Hall. According to legend, she died when she fell off the roof after climbing up there to discipline some residents who were up there making noise in the night. Also, a ghost named George is said to haunt the Campus Center. He makes himself known by playing instruments, locking doors or similar ghostly pranks.

  1. There is a ghost echo walks the top floor of DiNardo Hall and waves goodbye to students leaving the dorm at the end of the semester.

Scott Hall third floor is occupied by a bad spirit who is known to have held students down. A clearing ritual was held there in the late 90’s to expel the spirit.

  2. When i was in the freshmen dorms i heard high heels every night at the same time at night in the halls and boo one would be there also something woke me up one night by lifting up my finger….

  3. The Art Building/Anderson Gallery is haunted. The elevator will open on whatever floor you are on when you are alone in the building. Also, footsteps on the stairway are common as well as someone calling your name.

I went to kindergarten in the building now called Hunt Hall (formerly the Hunt School) and our music teacher said a boy was trampled by a horse on a farm before the school was built on the site. People reported footsteps following behind them on the stairs going down to the lunch room.
