  1. We have had three experiences in Carlisle and Avon Lake. On our way home from the races at Knoxville, we came through Carlisle and at the tracks on the east end of town we heard what sounded like a small girl calling for help, We stopped to give her assistance but didn’t find anything.

The next week we did the same thing but this time at the same crossing there was a train coming from Avon Lake, well being a train nut like I am, we went down a block and turned around to watch the train, Problem is the train wasn’t there. I thought maybe it was backing into Avon Lake so we went that way. No Train.

Lastly, my Daughter and Son were going Duck Hunting with me, it was about 4 AM and we were going past the Lake at Avon Lake and we all saw a train on the other side of the lake, and as we were watching, it just disappeared.

Take it for what it’s worth. These all took place in the mid nineties.

  2. I grew up in Avon and explored those tracks as a kid. My friends and I stayed up all night and walked those tracks- nothing else to do out in the sticks. We were out there at all hours of the night for years and saw nothing. I had never heard of this legend until I read about it on the internet. What a joke!

We live around Avon lake and my son has been talking about ghosts appearing in his room ten of them. He said they were wearing capes and only one had a hood.
