Keg Mansion is said to be haunted by Lillian, a maid who hanged herself in 1915 on the premises. She was employed by its owner, industrialist Hart Massey. According to one story, after the death of Massey’s daughter, Lillian was so aggrieved that she hanged herself. Another story said Lillian was having an affair with a Massey family man. Her ghost has been seen hanging by a rope in the mansion.

Several years ago, we built a home in Bridgenorth,, Ont. my mother moved into this home with us. After my mom passed away, in our home, we decided to foster children. The young girl we were looking after invited a friend to a sleep over. This girl’s bedroom, bathroom and living room had been occupied by my mother. The girl was never told my mother had passed away in the home. The girl who was sleeping over woke one night and and saw an old woman standing at the foot of the bed. The woman just disappeared. I said nothing to them about my mom. It never happened again.
