My sister and I were on our way to Natchez when we saw a sign advertising this site and decided to visit. We walked the whole park which is built on a circle – as we started on the last part of the circle my sister kept turning around and said she felt someone was following us. No one was there. There is a house by a pond and we decided to walk through it – we heard footsteps upstairs immediately – while she was in one room I walked into the next and as I approached a door it starting opening and closing on its own. I thought it must be wind or uneven floor and approached – it started swinging wildly and I yelled for my sister to get out of the house. As we ran for the road something was next to us in the tall grass, parting it as it moved, going over large shrubs flattening them then they would pop back up, when this ‘thing’ got to the road, dirt and debris flew up 8 to 10 feet. Never had anything like this happen to me and haven’t since. I went back 2 years later determined to walk through the place but it was closed, not idea why.
