This New England-style restaurant and historic landmark, built in 1756, is said to be haunted by original builder Captain Daniel Packard’s niece. She died of scarlet fever in 1873 when she was 7 years old. She most often plays in the stairwell and has been known to befriend children who come here to dine.

some one might want to rewrite the paragraph about. apparently the ghostly niece was born more than a century after her UNCLE built the place. Maybe the original typist just jangled a few dates but when the legend is so clearly off, you start to pull the threads apart very quickly.
