The Wood County Historical Center and Museum building used to house the Wood County Home/Infirmary, which opened in 1869 and operated until 1971. The museum opened in 1975. It is believed to be haunted by former patients of the infirmary. Reports have been made of an apparition of a lady in pjs and a man who walks with his arms outstretched. Footsteps, strange noises and orbs also have been reported in the building.
