Wonder Bar

You are here Home  > Miscellaneous >  Wonder Bar

Witnesses say noises can be heard throughout the building, and lights turn on by themselves in the basement. A cleaning lady, working at the bar with her cat, reported seeing a ghost coming down the stairs. The cat saw it too, and its fur all stood on end.

  1. The Wonder Bar was indeed haunted (I imagine it still is); Back in the 1980’s, my father was a janitor for that business. Guy Cooper was the owner for many years before and into the 1990’s. Mr. Cooper knew it was haunted. My father would tell me often how lights would turn on after he had turned them off, footsteps would be heard coming down the stairs from the upstairs portion of the Bar, and he even heard his name called out….all at 4 in the morning when no one else was there. Mr Cooper knew of lights turning on and off, hearing noises when no one was there, and even toilets flushing in the bathroom when no one else was in the building. It was common knowledge among those who worked there as well, that the place was haunted.
It was just accepted since nothing malicious ever happened.
