Although the current occupants of this building don’t seem to claim any paranormal activity, there is a long history of paranormal claims from previous owners. When it was the “Kit Kat Club” staff-members swore that bottles would fly off the bar on their own, and weird things were experienced in the women’s bathroom. Some years later, a female apparition was sighted on the rear staircase, wearing a black dress. Thomas Cook speculated in his book, “Orlando’s Historic Haunts,” that this activity might be related to the fact that there used to be a jail at this location long ago.
