A fisherman’s ghost is purported to haunt Upper Big Lake. So the story goes, the fisherman accidentally killed his nephew with a shotgun, and the nephew’s ghost came back and drowned his uncle while he was fishing on the lake.

  1. I used to night fish here and always felt uneasy not knowing why. I’ve night fished many places throughout my life and this is the only place I felt like this….I do a lot of stuff like frogging at night, coon hunting and fishing. again this is the only place I’ve felt like this. Now I know why I felt like I was being watched

  2. I went late at night and saw flashing lights on the lake. When I pointed them out to my dad, he also got scared and a bit jumpy. When I turned back around to look for ghosts I saw a human-like figure standing on the water that I hadn’t seen before. I looked closer and saw a face glaring at me with a horrifying smile. The exact second I screamed and tried to show my dad, telling him I found the ghost of the lake, a thick sheet of fog rolled in, making it where we couldn’t see and had to stop the car, and wait for it to pass. We drove quite quickly out of that park after seeing that.
