At the former Hilton Hotel at St. John's Wood (now the Danubius), I experienced malevolent visitors (twice - on separate visits).
The scariest was knowing there was someone at the foot of my bed yanking on the covers. After a very long trip from the Pacific coast to London, I was so tired that I really didn't give a sh!t and I just told them to F- off. They amped up the menace but I just ignored them.

Staff told me they had heard others who had the same experience.
