St. Cloud Chamber of Commerce

Rattling, whistling, and unexplained shadows and footsteps have been detected in this 1910 building, formerly a bank. Rumor has it that the hauntings stem from incidents in the structure’s past: a major bank robbery and a double homicide.

  1. I frequent this building several times a month and I can attest that there definitely seems to be something there. When I am upstairs I constantly feel as though I am being watched, and there often seems to be something just out of the corner of my eye. One time in particular, a friend and I were upstairs, standing in the doorway of the conference room, when she swore someone grabbed her. Initially she thought it was me. However, after several minutes of convincing her that it wasn’t me, and then several more trying to recreate what she had felt, we resigned ourselves to the possibility that it may have been a paranormal encounter.

  2. I’ve researched this before planning my trip. Get your facts straight people, first this bank was NEVER robbed and only opened from 1910-1917/18. The bank that was robbed was a different one down the street in 1934 by 3 different people. There is no record of ANY double homicide in ANY bank in the city. It’s a scheme to call this town “haunted” or this building for that matter. It is solely based to attract tourism and not on the basis of facts. How convenient the town is suddenly haunted when ghost stop moves into town.
