The opera house is haunted by the ghost of former residents, who can be heard walking around the house and talking late at night. The ghost of an actress in a red dress has been seen in the dressing rooms, but she vanishes when approached. She has also been heard singing when no one is around. (Submitted by Callum Swift)

when i was working there at the time of the operas i DID see thing felt things and heard things i even smelled the smoke from the fire years ago when i was in the balcony and projector room
i loved it.I did props and i was there all hours of the night it was simply amazing and yes i do something is there moslty good but there is a black spirit angry.

I had a friend when I was young that rented the maids quarters in the back house.. talk about creeped out.. I felt followers every where I went unless I was in the front living room.. and the cellar was particular spooky

My grandmother was the caretaker of the mansion for 27 years. It is haunted. I grew to in that place, have explored every possible inch, been in every room..
