Regina Mundi Catholic College

You are here Home  > Colleges and Universities >  Regina Mundi Catholic College

Regina Mundi Catholic College was built in 1963 as a junior seminary, but it also has been a boys’ boarding school, a co-ed day school and a high school. The ghost of a priest who died here when it was a seminary has been seen, as well as that of a janitor who hanged himself in the building. Legend has it that footsteps have been seen in freshly cleaned floors, and black apparitions show up on security cameras.

  1. I went to school there from 1972-1975, I lived there never heard any rumours of it being haunted, never heard any stories of it being haunted and I never saw anything in the 3 years there Grade11 – Grade 13.

  2. Went to school here for 5 years. There was also a story of a student who died in the dormitory (commited suicied if my memory is correct). There was certainly areas that raised the hairs on the back of my neck. Near the boiler room was one. And the music room above the chaple was the other.

  3. Fabricated story’s…No a janitor did not hang himself and there was no footsteps on freshly cleaned floors. The camera system wasn’t installed until 1998 and there has been no black apparitions have shown up, anytime. The only story I heard was a former nun was walking around on the upper floors of C block. Father Moss use to sleep with his dog in a little hut he built at the back of the school. He is the last Priest to live and die here. Father McCormick did live here at but left and died away from the school.
