    1. Just spent the night in this hotel with my friend. We were in NOLA for NYE. We spend our last night at the prince conti. We went to dinner at 5pm and when we came back to our room at night our door was wide open and I mean all the way. We ran inside and inspected our belongings but nothing was stolen. I personally locked the door and pushed on it when we left, a constant paranoid habit that I have. There is no way that the door was faulty as we tested it a few times. When we went to the concierge at check out in the morning, we asked if the hotel was haunted. He told us a story about a few years back and door flying open and an apparition but no one was there. It was a strange experience. I don’t want to harm the hotel, it was an ok little hotel with friendly staff, but I don’t like the idea of our belongings being exposed by nosey ghosts.

My friends and I were down from Dallas, TX for the memorial day weekend. We loved the hotel staff was great, however one of the afternoons my friends went out for lunch while I napped in the room about an hour or a little more into my nap I thought my friends had come back because while I was sleeping I felt someone nudging me I asked them to stop so I could finish my nap. The nudging continued so I woke up to stop them from nudging me and to my surprise the weren’t in the room nor had they returned at any point. I felt that maybe I was just dreaming or overreating until the curtain swung wide open by itself. Quite an experience.

    3. enjoyed the historical elegant feel of this hotel. I was looking for that. It was clean and the rooms were unique and comfortable. The breakfast was quite expensive though. The fabulous eggs benedict and a coffee for two was nearly $40 US. About the ghost thing… I’ve never had any experience before and not sure what the heck happened here, but I was sleeping and suddenly felt as if the full weight and force of a body was on me, squeezing me, making it hard to breath. At the same time I was completely paralyzed and couldn’t speak. I tried saying “get off!” but the words wouldn’t come out. It lasted about 20 seconds. I knew it wasn’t a real person, although I couldn’t turn to look (I was on my side). After it ended, I sat up and a female was laying in bed beside me. I thought she was my daughter, but my daughter was in the next bed. She looked up at me with a grin and eyes just open a slit so I could see the shine of her eyeballs only. I started pounding on her saying “who are you???” and she just lay there with the grin and then disappeared. What on earth ?????? This was room 332 btw. I’d be very interested if it has ever happened to anyone else. I couldn’t sleep for 4 hours afterwards, afraid to be in the dark…More

My husband and I stayed here. He was in the shower on Monday evening after we checked in and something pushed both of my makeup bags off the ledge over the toilet onto the floor. He called me into the bathroom to tell me what happened and I picked it up. The next morning he was in the bathroom again when the towel fell to the floor by itself. He said if this is really a ghost do something to show me your real. Nothing happened and then as he was about to go out the bathroom door he felt two hands on his back push him out. When we asked the concierge about it they just laughed and said a 12 yr old girl has been seen in the hotel before.

    5. I just got back from a trip to New Orleans where we were staying at the Prince Conti Hotel, which is in a 19th-century historic townhouse in the French Quarter. On the second morning staying there my internal clock woke me up at 6 a.m. like it usually does. My buddy was sound asleep in the other bed and I was wide awake and lying still on my side debating whether to get up and get coffee or try to go back to sleep.

Then, out of nowhere, my mattress started shaking and bouncing like it does when someone sits on a bed with some force. Startled, I quickly turned around to see nothing. The bed shook as a result of some energy and I know I wasn’t the source.

Curious, I later did a search about the Prince Conti Hotel and hauntings. There have been sightings of a spectral woman in the Bombay Club bar downstairs, but one report really stuck out at me (which is also here). One guest said that they saw a ghostly woman while they were in bed and she sat ON them. It then lay beside them and grinned before vanishing. The report was from 2015 and took place just three rooms away from the room I was staying in on the third floor. Rooms 332 and 338. There just might be something going on on the third floor of the Prince Conti.

    6. My husband and I stayed here 8/16/23-8/19/23 and on the last night while we were in bed watching “The Hangover” on tv the shower turned on for a about 3 seconds my husband got up and opened the bathroom door. The knob was off but the shower was wet like one of us just got out. When he went to look in the shower our bag of potato chips fell off the night stand that had been in the CVS bag all day. We were like okay! This is creepy! I kept the tv on all night! We were in room 361.
