Pettigrew House Museum

This historic mansion was built in 1889, and those on guided tours of the building may get more than they bargained for. The building is rumoured to be haunted by the wife of a former attorney who owned the building. Staff claim to have seen her inspecting the building, and occasionally smell her perfume. The other apparition reportedly seen is that of a young girl in a white dress, who has been seen on the landing of the stairs. According to witnesses, on some occasions, her face is covered in blood.

  1. Went on tour and walked by the wife’s room with the other tour guests and smelt perfume and the light string to the ceiling light twirl round with no wind or fans on it was crazy like 5 people on tour seen it unable to take pictures or video because photography was not allowed

  2. I remember going there when I was a child for a tour with my family and the old phone, I believe it was in the kitchen rang once and it freaked out the tour guide. I’m pretty sure it was the kitchen because the tour guide was talking about the ice chest and how big blocks of ice used to be delivered. I thought it was a gag, but now I’m not so sure.

  3. The tour guide lady said we could take pictures but without a flash so I did and the picture I took in the room where the baby’s nursery is and on my motion shot it showed an white orb moving right where the desk is! It definitely is a ghost, spirit or something!! Very cool!!
