Seaview Hospital, once a tuberculosis sanatorium, is now a national historic district on Staten Island. Built between 1905 and 1938, the site has over 30 historic buildings along Brielle Avenue. The former hospital building is reported to be haunted by the spirits of its deceased patients.

    When I was a child I lived off of winter Avenue. We would go to the hospital and walk around inside. We have had old keys throw at us down the hallway and hear lots of different voices. We would find dead birds with their heads ripped off. There was a house on the block behind the hospital where a strange man lived who had all his windows covered with sheet metal and he painted an S on all of them. We saw him once with his shirt off and he had a huge S branded on his chest. There was a smoke stack just behind the hospital. We could never get in there because it was locked. You knew you were not alone when you were inside. This was back in 1980 and I was 8 then.

        well if you trespass you get a summons but everyone goes there. At the moment ,the city is actually starting to demolish the buildings. The address is really kinda self explanatory when you see it. you would take the s57 though i can tell you that much

      This sounds Fake, I go very often just last week an have been going for four years many photos an yet no ghost but your story can be a good Nonfiction seller $

    This place is fun to visit but by all means not hunted at all

    I was mountain biking behind the hospital in the ravine and heard doors slamming and windows closing. Every time I would start to move again I would hear the noises. Mind you I was in that ravine that is twice as deep as the egbertville ravine. Not exactly in plain site if someone was screwing with me. It wasn't work related noises and there was no wind. It sounded like newly installed doors slamming shut.

    I heard the sound of 1000s of rats rats scratching from an inside wall back in the 80’s while with a couple of friends going through the buildings. Decades later I don’t I’m thinking they weren't rats
