Supposedly the ghost of a long-dead female student haunts North Morton Hall. She has a fancy for locking girls in the bathroom, or pulling blankets off of beds. On rare occasions she’s even been seen walking down the hallways.

  1. I lived in North Morton for a year. I had a single room on the third floor. This is a pretty active place. The stereos in nearby rooms would kick off full blast when no one was there, my room was next to a closet and things could be heard moving around at all hours although the room was empty, and then there were the noises in my own room. Both myself and friends experienced the dragging and moving sounds in my room. I was never really scared, although the basement could make anyone uneasy. Once a friend pushed me up all of the basement stairs, then straight out a nearby door insisting someone began pushing her from behind in the basement. The look on her face was all you needed to see to know that she was not kidding. I will add that I loved living in this dorm, and Campbell Hall next door.

  2. I lived there for about a year. My experience was actually not that great. I am someone who sleeps light and I do not move, but I would wake up with bruises and scratches all over my arms. I had nightmares every night, and they were worse when my roommate was not sleeping in the room as well. I think the strangest thing was when many of us girls woke up twice in the same night at the same exact times. I couldn’t stay in my room without the lights on when I was alone. It’s hard to explain, but there was something there that just wasn’t right.

  3. Never personally lived here, but had friends who did. I’m already sensitive to the paranormal realm, but Morton was one for the books. I could hear someone whispering right behind me, I’ve seen the girl pacing the halls with rope around her, I’ve heard her wailing, and I’ve seen her standing behind me in the bathroom mirror. All very intense things that almost made me wish I didn’t have my gift.
