Nannup Bakery

You are here Home  > Historical Buildings >  Nannup Bakery

This historic bakery was abandoned since the 1930’s, but now appears to once again be in operation. The last owner apparently vanished, and left everything behind in the store as it previously was. There are many reports of hauntings regarding this tiny establishment, including the banging of pots and pans when there is no one around, arguing voices and an invisible customer ordering bread and jam tarts. Other visitors report smelling bread when the bakery has closed for the night.

  1. This is NOT the “Old Nannup Bakey” that is the haunted one. That is much further up the main street and has been boarded up for years

  2. It’s hardly surprising to smell bread rising and baking after a bakery has closed. That lovely scent lingers for hours when I bake just one loaf.
