King Kamehameha’s Kona Beach Hotel

You are here Home  > Hotels and Inns >  King Kamehameha’s Kona Beach Hotel

Rumor has it that King Kamehameha was buried on or near to the hotel grounds. Those seeking supernatural activity will want to visit the top floor, where apparitions of warriors and sounds of battle have been heard. On the ground floor is a gallery where a portrait of Queen Liliuokalani is said to inhale and exhale before your very eyes.

    1. I’ve stayed here numerous times (although never on the top floor…) and haven’t had any sort of experience that would support this claim.

    2. Hi, Everyone!

We stayed here over the Christmas holiday 2017.

This hotel is indeed haunted! But not in the way it’s described – “seeing apparitions of warriors walking the halls of the hotel”. This is a tall tale!

We caught several ghostly manifestations, though!

I caught the Spirit/Ghost of King Kamehema V. See picture! If you want to see all our haunted evidence, please check out my FB page for our videos:

      My family-Spirits also came!

The elevator is very haunted! I was riding up and down the elevator several times, filming the Spirits. The Spirits didn’t like me doing this! Because they didn’t know me at first. They stopped the elevator on the 3rd floor, where we were. I did not stop the elevator. I wasn’t done filming. They opened the door – indicating to me that it was time to get out. I did not get out. I rode one more time.

Then, the next time I did it, I asked the Spirits if I could stay in for awhile to film. They got to know me by then. They let me stay in for a couple of minutes. The elevator did not move. No one called for the elevator. No one cane in. I got a little spooked and asked them to let me out. They did.

The first time – I did not ask their permission to ride and film. That’s they wanted me out. The next time, I asked their permission. They let me stay.

They are friendly Spirits. No need to be frightened!

I have all of my elevator and room stories on my FB page. Please check it out!

The picture – there is a small green circle – I circled it in pink. This is the Spirit of King Kamehameha V. It looks like him when you compare what his Spirit looks like to his painting in the art gallery. He is on my dark hair so you can see him. If he is not on my dark hair, you cannot see him. His Spirit flew as a light in my video on the ceiling – further proof that he was there. I have a nice conversation with his Spirit!
