  2. I have never heard any such stories, and I live near Vancleave, MS. I have heard stories about a black phantom van on Highway 57 that was allegedly involved in a hit and run auto accident. According to the paper one year, the sheriff’s deputies have never been able to locate or identify the van, but the word is that a driver of a similar vehicle was killed in a hit and run drunk driving auto accident in the seventies. Now the phantom van supposedly makes an annual appearence to hit other vehicles. I am not too familiar with John’s Bayou or Mt. Pleasant, although I believe I have driven pass both in the past.
